There you are, sitting in a room of people you only kind of know. The food is great. The atmosphere is perfect, but there's something about being there that just makes you want to climb in a giant hole with a bar of fudge and some comfortable pajamas. I've always enjoyed throwing a party more than actually attending one. Why? I've always felt like an awkward conversationalist. I'm not shy. I'm an extrovert. I just don't know what to talk about.

This is probably why I prefer writing my feelings over talking about them. I've literally written a book about my feelings. See how I did it HERE. Anyway, when I get to a party I LOVE it when there is already an activity planned or some kind of ice breaker so I don't go straight for the fudge. . . okay, sometimes I still go straight for the fudge.
This year, we are hosting, so I put together a couple of fun long-running games to be played during the day. These are great ice-breakers that can go on while you eat, while you play other games, and even during that intense family football game. For the record, I don't watch or play football - ever. I thought I'd offer them up here for free. We've got to help each other out, right? Solidarity to your other hosts for the holidays. Oh, and don't worry, everything in these party games are PG, family-friendly. The games might be hard for younger kids to keep up with though. If you're looking for some fun printables for the younger crowd, I've got you covered HERE. (I make this packet available the last few months of the year in my Etsy shop.)
I've got a Holiday Bundle that will knock your socks off. . . not literally. Keep your feet warm and enjoy these 30 pages of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christ-centered Christmas printables just for your smaller crowd. Included are mazes, crafts, activities, and even some educational fun! The best part is that once you've downloaded the files, you can use them, again and again, each year until your little ones are ready to join the older crowd.

It's also a good time to start thinking ahead toward Christmas. The Christmas activities are simple, Christ-centered, and encourage children to think about the true meaning of Christmas.
Let's get back to the ice-breaker party games. Included in this instantly downloadable PDF, you'll receive SIX pages of party preparation done for you! The first page has 6 scorecards for your guests, which you can print as many times as you would like. I would recommend on card stock. After the scorecards, the first activity is called Slip-in Phrases. For this game, each guest will be challenged to slip in prewritten random phrases, quotes, and facts into their regular conversation without getting caught. Some of them will be easy, and some will take a bit of imagination and storytelling to figure out how to work it into their wording. There are three pages of slip-in phrases to use. There are a few different ways you can distribute the words as well. Instructions are included in the download. The next party activity is a perfect ice-breaker called "Ask me about. . . ". That's it. It's not complicated, but it can definitely bring your conversations to a new level of fun. These conversation starters will also make slipping in random phrases a little easier. Enjoy, and good luck!
Oh, and if you have any extra fudge, send it my way. I'll be in my pajamas by 8 PM sharp;)

Never Have I Ever is a classic party game for uncovering secrets and sharing laughs. If you're running low on good questions, especially for specific groups like teens or couples, using an online generator for NeverHaveIEver questions can provide endless, fun prompts for your gatherings.
I’ve been on a journey of self-reflection lately, trying to understand myself better, explore my values, and think about what truly matters in my life. It’s not always easy, and sometimes it feels like I’m missing the right questions to ask myself. That’s when I found something that’s helped me tremendously—a tool that guides you through deeper layers of self-awareness.
This card game has a series of questions that really make you pause and think. It's not just about the surface-level stuff—these cards dive into everything from your core values to your long-term aspirations. Each one is an opportunity to explore something new, whether it's about who you are now or who you want to be.
I love that it’s…
